Our colleagues at CSM Italy recently had some good eats for a goodcause. They met for lunch and donated the amount of their tickets to “A Safe Haven in the Storm” organization. Safe Haven promotes the well-being of children and youth suffering from oncological and blood-oncological diseases, and their families. The funds raised were given to the oncology department of Gaslini Hospital in Genoa.

Last weekend, CSM hosted the “Family Portrait Fundraiser” to help support the non-profit organization Panos Evripidou Foundation (PEF). On that Sunday in the CSM garden, 60 people took part in 18 family photo sessions and enjoyed refreshments, face painting and a Creative Corner for children. Combined with a matching donation from CSM, the event raised 1000 Euros for PEF which is dedicated to the improvement of the lives of premature children facing life-long challenges caused by prematurity after leaving the N.I.C.U. Special thanks goes to photographer Xanthos Georgiou who donated his professional services, and to Andria Zittis who entertained the CSM children with face painting and balloon animals. We are also grateful to Strelitzia Flower and Designs for donating fresh flowers for the shoot.

Today we celebrate the world’s most vital supply chain. This was never more apparent than during the COVID 19 epidemic and could have never been possible without its seafarers. We stand next to our seafarers by providing free internet & 24/7 access to our mental health hotline. To help our crew’s meet their wellbeing goals we offer a variety of related programmes and online training via our E-Learning platform. We thank our seafarers for their core role in moving worldwide trade.

This past weekend, Columbia Shipmanagement held the first fundraiser for its Autumn giving campaign. On September 12, CSM hosted “Bark in the Park,” a fundraiser to help support the non-profit organisation Riding for the Disabled Association Cyprus (RDA). On that sunny afternoon, 23 dogs, their families and CSM staff socialised in the garden and enjoyed a fun training session. The event and an additional #donation from CSM raised 1030 Euros for RDA which provides horse riding instruction and equestrian activities for people with disabilities, particularly for children. Horse riding therapy and healthy recreation enables people with disabilities to develop skills through progressive instruction programmes. A special thanks goes to Organic Dog Chef pet shop for their generous financial support and giveaways. Thanks also to PetGarden pet shop for their doggy donuts and grooming vouchers.
